The idea that we dads can set our financial houses in order by building our own microbusinesses at home. That we can improve our most important relationships by being more available for our families. That we can train our kids by working beside them. That by becoming self-reliant and independent, we can actually change the world.
A future where dads like you and me create businesses that serve people and really make a difference in the world. Where we succeed financially through our own hard work and tenacity. And where we have the time to enjoy our families and help them become what we know they are capable of.
At least, I hope it will be. Right now, it’s just my brainchild. My hope for my own family and the future that can be. My dream that we can make the world a better place for our kids, in an actual, meaningful way. But we can accomplish more together than we ever could alone.
I’m not an expert. I’m just a dad with a crazy idea. And I hope you are too. If so, let’s try every business idea we can come up with, and figure out which ones work. It’s going to be a wild but rewarding ride.
We’re here to help each other start successful businesses, but trying to recruit other dad’s is a no-no. This goes double for network marketing “opportunities”.
Building a business takes a massive amount of hard work and tenacity. Looking for ideas and next steps is awesome. Asking someone to write your business plan for you is rude.
You, as a father, are needed in your home. Not all of your time, but more of it.
Home is where you perform the most important work you do.
You can do a lot more of that important work if you don’t need to be gone all the time, working for someone else, just to pay the bills.
It’s a lot easier to build and strengthen relationships with your children and pass your values on to them if you spend more time in the same physical space.
It’s also a lot easier to strengthen your marriage that way.
It is possible, even profitable, to support your family while working for yourself, without the need to have an outside “job”.
If you want to take control of your life, you first need to take control of your finances.
To truly take control of your finances, you need to own your job. Otherwise, somebody else gets to decide when you work, how much you work, what you get paid for your work, and even what your work will be.
Through the application of entrepreneurial traits such as initiative, innovation, persistence, and tenacity, you develop personal freedom and self-reliance.
As you become more self-reliant, you also become increasingly free to challenge the status quo and create real change in the world.
When there are enough of us with the freedom and determination to really change things, we will, and nothing the defenders of the status quo can do will stop it.
You have everything you need to start, right where you’re at. You only have to make the commitment.
You don’t have to change everything at once. You don’t have to quit your job right now. Just start with one thing, but do it today.
